East Lothian Current: 🌊 24th August 2024
Station Yard Beer Festival, Tyninghame Wee Fair and 360 Cycle Stunts
There’s a definite chill in the air, but this week’s events feel like the perfect excuse to spend time outside and make the most of the long days while they’re still with us.
Got something coming up in September that you’d like to share? Let us know here.
What’s On
🍻 To Drink: This weekend is Station Yard Micropub’s Beer Festival. Turn up Saturday or Sunday afternoon for live music, food from Hector’s and pints aplenty.
🥾 To Walk: East Lothian Walkfest 2024 runs from 24th August - 1st September. Check out the website for walking meetups to join, or inspiration for a solo adventure.
🎟️ To Book: Night Owl Books are hosting an in conversation event at Dukes of West Barns with Callum Robinson, author of Ingrained: The Making of a Craftsman. Anyone else dream of packing in the day job and retraining to make beautiful furniture? Don’t miss it!
🚴🏻♀️ To Watch: This event *might* be for children (there will be a giant bubble display) but I honestly just think it sounds really cool. 360 Fest at The National Museum of Flight will showcase stunts from cycle team The Clan. Your ticket gets you entry to the rest of the museum too.
🧶 To Potter: Tyninghame Wee Fair is back this Sunday (25th August). Lovely local maker Costal Castings East Lothian will be there, along with lots of other stallholders.
